12 Affirmations to Keep You Motivated


It's tremendously easy to become discouraged on the path to acheiving your goals. Many of the ambitions we have include goals that are very difficult to accomplish, and at the first roadblock, we suddenly think that we're incapable of being successful, which can also interfere with our happiness. The key to accomplishing your goals is persistance. No matter how difficult it gets, you have to constantly remind yourself that anything is possible if you apply yourself. Here are some thoughts you need to keep in mind while trying to make your dreams come true.

1. Remember that everything is temporary. Happiness, loneliness, sadness, keep pushing forward. Life always has the potential to   get better and better.

2. Be mindful about the people you surround yourself with. Make sure you're associating yourself with positive, resourceful people.

3. Be constructive about your failures. Use them as fuel to do better next time. Dwelling on past failures will never benefit you in the long run.

4. Do something that you're passionate about. It doesn't matter what it is. Passion ignites motivation. When you're passionate about something it's much easier to motivate yourself.

5. Realize that no one is going to motivate you better than yourself. Be your own biggest fan and your own worst critic. Being self motivated is everything.

6. Tell yourself that success doesn't happen overnight. Be patient and recognize your achievements while working towards bigger and better things.

7. Write a to-do list for the day, week, or month. Seeing your goals written down is extremely useful. It'll bring your big plans to life right before your eyes.

8. Set goals, whether they be big or small. Keep your goals in mind at all times. Short term goals and long term goals will help you keep your eye on the prize and help you stay driven towards both.

9. Remind yourself of the "why". Why did you start in the first place? Is this important to you? If it's important, you will find a way instead of an excuse.

10. Instead of looking at problems look at them as opportunities to grow and do better next time. Problems can always be fixed, and if they can't, we can change the way we think about them instead.

11. Make sure your surroundings are inspiring, and if they're not, change that. Find that place that brings out your creativity and motivation will flow.

12. Start right now, wherever you may be in life. Don't wait for a sign or for a Monday to start building your future. Start today and motivation will result from it.
