The Key to Greatness

Jim Rohn says, "The most important question to ask on the job is not "What am I getting?" The most important question to ask on the job is "What am I becoming?"

If you want to turn your dreams into reality, then you must understand that an extraordinary life happens only to an extraordinary person. Don’t waste your time envying others who seem to have everything you want for yourself. Instead, rise above the victim mindset and start marching towards your goals. No matter how humble your beginnings may be, you can build yourself up from the bottom and achieve more than you ever thought possible.

When you examine the backstories of the people you look up to, or the most successful people in the world, you'll realize that a vast majority of them didn't have a head start. But this is what only makes their stories more remarkable, and you can always follow in their path.

It Takes Work

It does take a tremendous amount of motivation to remain focused on your goals. If you have hopes and dreams, but aren't dedicating the time and effort to make them come true, then you're settling. No matter the size or scope of your goal, it's going to take a lot of work to ensure that you're putting the effort needed to acheive it.

Think about the goals you have in your life right now. Are you making a dedicated effort towards them? If not, simply try harder. Don't blame anyone or a circumstance when you can focus more and take further action towards your goals.

Attack Each Day

When you have a comprehensive plan for your daily routine, you will see an incredible growth in productivity, which in turn will get you closer and closer to your goals. Some people can be productive through improvization, and it's always good to be flexible, but there's value in always knowing your next move.

Don’t ever forget that living up to your highest potential requires dedication, discipline, perseverance and a massive amount of self-mastery. Along with these, you need the ability to ask the right questions. While coming face-to-face with challenges, a mediocre person asks, “Why me?” The people seeking excellence on the other hand, ask, “What lessons are there to be learned?”

Take Responsibility

No matter what situation, circumstances or challenges you are facing, you have the ability to rise above them. Doing so means that you are making the choice to hold yourself accountable and rising above mediocrity. The journey is truly in your hands. You can rise above obstacles or let them hold you down.

Taking responsibility doesn’t mean feeling guilty or blaming yourself, it means realizing that you have the power to maneuver your future to become someone your proud of. You can manifest anything into reality if you work hard enough, and hold yourself accountable to take control of your ambitions.
