Does Drinking Water Affect Your Ability to Digest Food?

Could drinking water affect your ability to digest food? Absolutely.

According toDr. Jim LaValle, a nationally recognized clinical pharmacist, author, board certified clinical nutritionist, founder of Metabolic Code Enterprises, Inc.;

Try to drink the majority of your water between meals.  Drinking too much water with a meal can dilute digestive juices, making digestion less complete.   Drink only small amounts with meals and the rest between.

What we learned from the article, What Is The Most Important Supplement?, is that most people do not have enough HydroChloric Acid being produced in their stomachs.  If you are one of those individuals, drinking too much water before or during a meal CAN affect your ability to digest your food bloating, heartburn, etc.

What are you to do?

Enjoy drinking water throughout the day but reduce your water intake when consuming meals.  By reducing your water intake at meals, your body can now utilize the natural digestive juices it has  in order to digest your food.
