Find The American Ninja Warrior Inside Yourself

Ever since the first season of the hit series American Ninja Warrior concluded without a champion, hundreds of athletes have been working to become crowned as the first reigning champion of the competition. That goal was finally accomplished by Isaac Caldiero in the seventh season finale, when he completed the fourth and final stage of the seemingly impossible obstacle course that so many before him had failed.

Caldiero will be the first to tell you that achieving this goal took a lot of time, effort, dedication, and perseverance. No matter what obstacle the course threw at him, he was able to master his skills and achieve what many were beginning to believe would never be achieved. Of his victory, Caldiero commented that,

Winning this event always seemed impossible. As the first American Ninja Warrior I want to use this opportunity to inspire the world to find your impossible and conquer it.

Here are just a few qualities you can use to find the Ninja Warrior inside yourself:

Never Give Up

So how do you conquer the unconquerable and find the American Ninja Warrior inside you? For Caldiero, it means utilizing many of the same qualities that businessman and entrepreneurs practice to accomplish their goals of success everyday. Just like Steve Jobs or Donald Trump failed time and again before finally achieving the success they desired, Caldiero never gave up, even after he failed the first time. The path to success is made up of your failures, but if you stay true to your end goal and find it in you to push until the goal is done, then anything can become possible. Failure is simply a tool that we can use to learn from our mistakes and to better ourselves and prepare for the next step.

Be Willing To Do What Is Necessary

Finding your road to success also means doing whatever it takes (within lawful boundaries, of course) to achieve the impossible. Caldiero has been working as a busboy while pursuing his hobby of rock climbing in his spare time, but he never let his financial situation or his hectic schedule interfere with his plans for the future. In order to prepare himself to become the first American Ninja Warrior, Caldiero built a homemade replica of the third stage of the obstacle course and then began his relentless training routine. His victory has now demonstrated that success can be achieved if you are willing to go the extra mile and do whatever it takes to achieve your goal.

Be Competitive

American Ninja Warriors, like business entrepreneurs, are also driven by their competitive nature. As more and more athletes continued to fail, time and again, to complete all four stages of the course, the desire in Caldiero to become the first champion became that much more powerful. Caldiero took that desire and used it as a motivational tool to push himself harder than any other person to ever enter the competition, and now his hard work and patience have paid off.

Have A Strong Support Base

No one, however, be they Donald Trump, Ray Kroc, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, or Howard Schultz, has ever achieved anything without a certain degree of support from friends and family. These people play a vital part in motivating us to complete the task at hand, and their unwavering support is crucial in keeping the end goal in site and maintaining the work ethic we have established in order to help us achieve it.

Whether your goal is winning a sports competition, getting a promotion at work, or finally finishing that house project you have been putting off for months, you have it within you to achieve anything you set your mind to. All it takes is a little support, the ability to focus on the end goal, the courage to do whatever it takes to see the task through to the end, and a relentless drive to accomplish your dream. If you can hone in on these qualities and use them to pursue your goals and dreams, then you will have found the American Ninja Warrior inside yourself.
