You will even be able to access fight details as well as any other information you made need to know.

2. Get TSA PreCheck

It’s safe to say that no one enjoys the long security lines at the airport. They sometimes take ages to get through and it’s only going to leave you feeling frustrated and stressed out by the time you make it through the line. To avoid the hassle, you should get a TSA PreCheck instead. 

When you opt for the TSA PreCheck, you’ll use a dedicated security line at the airport. You’ll be able to avoid the longer line that everyone else is queuing for, which gives you more time to do what you want while you wait for your flight. An added benefit is that you won’t have to remove things like your laptop, shoes, or jacket. You’ll be able to walk through a metal detector as opposed to going through the body scanner.

With so many others wanting to charge their devices, it might be difficult to find a spare outlet to plug in. And you certainly don’t want to worry about your phone dying, especially if you need it!

You can bring along a portable phone charger that will allow you to charge your phone without being tethered to a wall outlet. It’s the easiest way to give your battery a little extra juice for your travels. Of course, you need to make sure your charge your charger before leaving home!

4. Pack Light

The first thing you want to do is make sure you pack light. Unfortunately, many of us are guilty of over-packing and bringing way more than we’ll actually need on our trips. This will lead to you dragging around a heavy suitcase at the airport, which becomes quite a hassle as you’re trying to navigate your way around the building and crowds of people.

Instead, plan to arrive early. Get to the airport two to three hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. When deciding what time you need to leave for the airport, don’t forget to take traffic into consideration. There’s nothing worse than panicking about missing your flight the whole way to the airport.

6. Get a Ride to the Airport

Another great idea is to get a ride to the airport. You could ask a friend or family member or even use a taxi, Uber, or Lyft. Instead of frantically driving yourself to the airport and having to leave your car there while you’re gone, you can sit back and relax while someone else does the driving. It gives you a chance to let any stress you may have been feeling about your travels melt away.

7. Bring a Copy of Your Passport

Is there anything worse than losing your passport while you’re traveling? Probably not! For this reason, it’s wise to keep your passport in a safe place. You’ll preferably want to keep it in the same place at all times so you always know where it is and you’ll have quick and easy access.

It’s also a smart idea to make a copy of your passport before you leave for your trip. That way, if anything unfortunate does happen to your passport while you’re gone, you’ll always have the copy on hand.

8. Eat Before You Go

Hunger pains are one thing that will surely make your travels much worse. No one wants to spend their journey to the airport dealing with a grumbling, empty stomach. Instead of waiting until you get the airport and hoping you have time to find food, eat something before you leave. This will ensure you don’t get hungry and it’ll give your body the fuel it needs to power through.

You want to choose foods that are going to give you plenty of energy to withstand a long travel day. A salad with kale is a great option or you could go for a meal that includes salmon. Oatmeal is another great option! You can even snack on almonds, peanut butter, or a banana.
