How Your Password Can Be A Source Of Motivation

How important is your password? It is not just protecting your electronic files and data as most people believe. We are routinely typing our passwords many times throughout the day. Some people type their password 2-3 times per day and some type it in as many as 20 times. I think it is quite powerful.

Everyone needs to hear some inspiration. The more often you hear inspiring words, the more likely you are to be successful at reaching your goals. How can a password inspire you? Let's say your goal is to drink 100oz of water every day. Your password could be Drink100H20. Your goal could be to walk 12,000 steps per day. You could type walk12,000 every time you log in. Consistent reminders to be successful are the key.

According to "The Telegraph", the most common passwords of 2016 are "123456" and "111111". I don't know of anyone who is inspired by 123456 to go out and become more active, eat healthier, or get quality sleep.

What are you to do?

Change your passwords to something personal that will motivate you towards a better way of life. You may be surprised that by the time you have to change your password, your password has now become a new healthy habit (see article How Long Does it Take to Develop A Habit?) and you are well on your way towards a new healthy behavior (see article How Long Does It Take To Change A Behavior?).
