Is There Any Benefit To Working Out Once A Week?

Have you ever thought, is it even worth it to work out just once a week? Well, researchers at Loughborough University of England wondered the same thing. Researchers conducted surveys on nearly 64,00 adults in England and Scotland between 1994 and 2008.

What they found out was very telling...

  • The subjects who worked out only on the weekend vs those who did not work out at all, reduced their risk of dying by 30%.
  • Any amount of activity reduced the risk of heart disease by almost 40% - According to the CDC (Center of Disease Control), heart disease is the leading cause of death in America for the last 80 years.

If your goals are to decrease body fat and build muscle, you will have to increase the number of days per week you workout. From a mortality standpoint, just moving on the weekend will have significant improvements in your health.

If you compare working out just once a week to not working out at all, you will have 52 workouts accomplished in a year!

What are you to do?

Move! If you struggle for time, energy, etc, working out and breaking a sweat on the weekend WILL benefit your health. You WILL reduce your risk of heart attack and dying significantly. Who knows, not only will you feel better from your workout, it will save your life!
